Vicki Smith - Artistic Director, Teacher, Choreographer, Director
Vicki started dancing at the tender age of 2 with her sister Bobbi Smith.
She studied Tap, Ballet, Acrobatics, Baton, Hula, Jazz, Adagio and Toe Tap.  Through her younger years she performed every summer on the world  famous Steel Pier in Atlantic City for Tony Grants Stars of Tomorrow.  Was a 3 time winner on the Ted Mack and the original Amateur hour show,
She then started in Theatre at 15 working for Burn Brae and K&L Productions,
Bobby Smith - Rhythm Tap 

Bobby has received 9 Helen Hayes nominations for excellence in Washington, DC area theater. He has been teaching for over 15 years and and had directed and choreographed for colleges and regional theatre across the nation.
His credits include: Broadway in Crazy for You. Off Broadway: Forever Plaid (original cast), Kander and Ebb’s The World Goes ‘Round, and the revival of George Gershwin’s Of Thee I Sing. Amy Sonntag, Broadway Tap 


Amy is excited to be back to where she learned it all! Since leaving StageWorkz many moons ago, Amy has received her BM in Musical Theatre from the Catholic University, performed at Disney World, and performed all over the world with Feld Entertainment's Disney Live. After three years of performing with Disney Live, Amy went on to become a Performance Director for the cmpany. Tourin is great, but Amy missed having a 'normal life' and is thrilled to be back in the area. Since returning she has performed with Toby's Dinner Theatre, taught with Columbia Center for her Masters. She loves sharing her love of dance and muscial theatre with kids - especially at Talent Machine and StageWorkz where she learned everything she knows! Catch the Energy

Vadim Bogomolov, Classical Ballet - Technique


Vadim Bogomolov graduated in 1984 from the Vaganova Choreographic Institute of St. Petersburg, Russia, where he studied under Professor Yuri Omrikin.  As a professional dancer with the National Ballet of Kazakhstan and the New Classical Ballet of Moscow, Vadim toured Europe and Asia dancing in ballets such as Paquita, Don Quixote, and The Nutcracker


After traveling the U.S. on "The Great Russian Nutcracker" tour, Vadim accepted positions as a principal dancer with Classical Ballet of California and Manassas Dance Theatre. In 2012 Vadim completed the program in ballet pedagogy (teaching) at the Moscow State Choreographic Institute and was granted the title of "Ballet Master." He lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia where he is co-director of Classical Ballet of Fredericksburg.

Megan Neale Pistolas - Jazz - Contemporary 


Megan started dancing at the age of 5 years old. She studied and competed in several areas of dance including jazz, lyrical, ballet, tap, contemporary, and musical theatre. Her accolades include many regional and national titles and placing as a top 10 soloist , as well as receiving the Maryland distinguished scholarship for the arts . She also has traveled the country performing in New York , Las Vegas, Myrtle beach , Florida, Texas , and Washington D.C.

 

Megan since then went on to teaching and choreographing at C and C Dance Company and is in her eleventh year of teaching . Many of her students have won countless judges awards, special awards, scholarships, cash awards and overall high score awards at many regional and national dance competitions.

 

Megan’s experience extends beyond Dance as she studied Early Childhood Education and has a seven year tenure working with toddler, pre-school, and school age children at childhood development centers in the Maryland and Delaware area. Megan continues her passion for the art of movement through teaching and choreographing at C and C dance Company and is now excited to be with you at StageWorkz!

 

Lauren Montoya -  Pre-Pointe, Pointe and Lyrical


Lauren was born in Baltimore and began her training at White Marsh Ballet Academy under the direction of Sandra Prehoda and Shari Vazquez.  She then went on to study at the Baltimore School for the Arts under Norma Pera.  She also worked with guest artists such as Judith Figure,  Jim Orsorno and the choreographers from Hairspray.  After that she studied dance at Towson University. She has guest performed for Florida Ballet Arts Academy, as well as trained at Washington Ballet and Cumberland Ballet.  She danced with Ballet Theatre of Maryland for two seasons.  She lives with her husband and three daughters in Arnold.

Sim Rivers - Improv, Acting Technique 


Sim Rivers is a Theatre Educator and Artist based in the Baltimore/D.C. area. A graduate of UMBC with degrees in Theatre Studies and Media Studies, he has worked with Stageworkz Theatre Arts Project, The Talent Machine Company, The Drama Learning Center, Imagination Stage, Destination ImagiNation, and Anne Arundel County Public Schools, teaching improv and musical theatre. He has performed improv for many years with groups such as Baltimore Improv Group, Charm City Comedy Project, and his alma mater’s improv troupe Dog-Collar Comedy, which he helped found in 2013.

Cyndi Wallman - Private Vocals

For Cyndi music is as essential as breathing. Whether studying, performing, or teaching, it has been her lifelong passion from her early days of classical voice training at the Peabody Institute to the present. She has honed her skills and entertained audiences around the world.

Through the years music has opened many doors. She has had the great honor of sharing the stage with great entertainers like Sammy Davis, Jr., Victor Borge, Johnny Cash, among others. Cyndi and her husband, Roy, have been performing together for many years. Along with their group they toured the U.S. and abroad for quite a few years. Their onstage performances led to their first album release "Cyndi & Roy" "Feel It" released on the Casablanca label along with artists like Donna Summer, Cher, and Kiss.

Many hours of studio experience has led to a numerous local, regional and national commercials. Cyndi is also a long time member in good standing of AFTRA and ASCAP.

After traveling for so many years she decided to share her professional expertise with others, and over the past 11 years she has been instructing students of all ages and is currently the vocal coach for Stageworkz School of Performing Arts and musical director for the esteemed Talent Machine Company.

Her main focus is to recognize and develop talent, all the while inspiring confidence. She believes in breathing life into the music.

Cyndi considers sharing music one of her most rewarding contributions. And most of all wants everyone to have fun learning.

Carrie Segelhorst - Broadway Group Vocals,  Project Revue, Pitch Perfect Kids

Carrie Segelhorst has always had a passion for music. She began as a young child singing and playing piano, before discovering the Trumpet in 4th grade. She combined her love of music with theatre and dance, participating in shows and assistant teaching. She pursued music education all the way through college at James Madison University. After college Carrie began teaching, both private lessons and as Musical Director at Stageworkz for their musical theatre workshops. She has worked on a number of shows, including Seussical, Into The Woods, Shrek Jr, The Lion King, Legally Blonde and most recently Willy Wonka Junior. Working with such talented students inspires her every day, and she is very lucky to be able to share her passion for music and help them to grow!




Tim German - Musical Theatre Class

 

Tim German is A Second City Trained Comedic Actor from Maryland, and a member of Training 4 Prom, one of the Baltimore Improv Group's mainstage troupes. Previous Credits include: A recurring cast member in the Baltimore Improv Group's Unscripted: A Fully Improvised Play; Usnavi in In The Heights and Mark in Rent at Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre; and Cord in Spark at Adventure Stage Chicago.
